GENERAL

Is there a maximum or minimum rental period for QuickRent transporters?

The maximum rental period for QuickRent transporters is typically 14 days. The minimum rental period is 30 minutes.

RETURN

Can I return the transporter to a different location?

Can I pick up a transporter in Solothurn, for example, and drop it off in Bern at the end of the hire period? No. Unfortunately, one-way rentals are not possible. You must return the transporter to the pick-up location at the end of the hire.

TARIFFS & FEES

What is included in our tariffs?

Our hourly and mileage rates include the following: service, repairs, insurance, administration, Swiss highway vignette, tire change, parking rental, motor vehicle tax, and value-added tax. The renter is responsible for fuel costs.

How are the costs for a trip with QuickRent transporters calculated?

The trip costs consist of the mileage and hourly rates (see prices).

INSURANCE

What is my deductible?

The deductible is CHF 1,500.- per claim, i.e., CHF 1,500.- for collision damage to the rental vehicle and an additional CHF 1,500.- in the case of liability damage to another vehicle/object. Surcharges apply for new and young drivers (see GTC Clause 12).

To what extent is a transporter insured?

A QuickRent transporter is insured in case of liability and comprehensive damage.

RESERVATION

How can I change or cancel a reservation?

You can cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the start of the rental via email to info@quickrent.ch without incurring rental costs. Otherwise you will have to pay the rental costs.

How can I reserve a transporter?

You can reserve a QuickRent transporter online (www.quickrent.ch) or via the QuickRent app.

Can I extend the rental period?

Yes. If your transporter has not been reserved by another customer after the end of your reservation time, you can extend the reservation online or through the QuickRent app. Please note the applicable fees (see prices).

Can I pick up the transporter earlier than the start of the reservation?

No. The transporter can only be opened from the start of the reservation period. If you want to pick up the transporter earlier, you need to change your reservation time. To do this, open the calendar in the app (bottom left) and then tap on the booking. Then change the reservation time and save the booking again.

Can I rent a transporter and let someone else drive it?

This is generally possible. Simply send us an e-mail with photos of the front and back of the additional driver’s valid driving licence (Cat. B), their home address, e-mail address and telephone or mobile phone number. Please also note section 7 of the General Terms and Conditions.

Where can I download the QuickRent app?

You can download the QuickRent app free of charge from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

BEFORE DRIVING

What do I have to look out for when starting my journey?

Before you start the hire, you must carry out a damage check. Also check that the transporter is clean. If you discover damage to the transporter and/or the transporter is very dirty, you should report this to us immediately using the damage button in the QuickRent app or by email. Please also report any damage, trash or stains in the interior immediately after opening the transporter in the same way.

I noticed damage before the trip. What should I do?

If you discover damage that is not yet marked with a sticker at the damage location, you must report the damage to us before the start of the rental using the damage button in the app or by email. This way, you are 100% covered and it makes it easier for us to find out who caused the damage.

How do I open a QuickRent transporter?

Download the QuickRent app and go to your reserved QuickRent transporter. Once you are logged in and the reservation time begins, you can open the transporter with your smartphone or the QuickRent app.

What should I do if my reserved transporter is not at its location?

In this case, please contact us via our emergency number (079 255 69 99).

How far in advance do I need to reserve the van for my planned trip?

Reservations can be made at any time, even shortly before the planned journey.

DURING THE DRIVE

I cannot return the transporter in time. What do I have to do?

It is highly recommended you plan enough time for your rental period and extend your reservation with plenty of notice. If your transporter has not already been reserved by another renter after the end of the reservation period, you can extend your rental using the QuickRent app. If you are unable to return the transporter on time and the transporter has been reserved by another renter after the end of your reservation period, please contact us immediately via our emergency number (079 255 69 99).

Can I exceed the free kilometres included in the rental price?

Yes, the costs for additional kilometres will be automatically charged from your card at the end of the rental period.

What should I do if I am involved in an accident?

In the event of an accident, please contact us via our emergency number (079 255 69 99). If there is only (minor) damage to the transporter, you can also report the damage to us using the damage button in the QuickRent app.

What should I do if the transporter has a breakdown?

In the event of a breakdown, please contact us immediately via our emergency number (079 255 69 99).

Can the be returned earlier/sooner than the scheduled time?

Yes, the rental can also be cancelled before the planned end of the reservation. However, you will still be charged the rental costs for the entire reserved period.

How do I open and close the transporter during the hire period?

During the rental, you can use the vehicle key to open and close the transporter. You only need the QuickRent app to open the transporter at the start and close it at the end of the rental.

Can I smoke in the transporter?

No. Smoking is not permitted in the QuickRent transporters.

Can I take my pet with me on the trip?

Yes. Pets are generally allowed in QuickRent transporters but must be transported in animal-friendly crates or brought on a blanket.

Can I park my private vehicle on the QuickRent parking lot during my reservation?

Yes. You are allowed to park your own vehicle on the QuickRent parking lot during the rental.

END TRIP

Do I have to clean the QuickRent transporter at the end of the hire?

Clearly visible, self-caused soiling (inside and outside) must be removed by the renter at his own expense during the rental period. Otherwise, a cleaning fee may be charged (see GTC section 5).

What should I do after the transporter has been returned to its location?

After the transporter is parked in the designated QuickRent parking space, please check that all doors and windows are closed. Switch off the ignition, lights and other power sources, pull the handbrake and make sure/ensure that the transporter has a full tank of gas. Then insert the badge on the vehicle key into the badge box and end the rental by locking the transporter with the QuickRent app.

Do I have to refuel the transporter at the end of the rental period?

Yes, the transporter must be refuelled at your own expense before the end of the rental period.

Can I return the transporter later?

A later return of the QuickRent transporter is only possible if you have extended the reservation before or during the rental. If the rental is not extended and the transporter has not been reserved by another customer after your reservation time ends, it will be automatically extended. If the rental is not extended and another customer has reserved the transporter after your rental period, the transporter must be returned to its location, and the rental must be ended on time. Otherwise, a penalty fee and possible damages must be paid.

PAYMENT

How can I pay for the hire of a QuickRent transporter?

To rent a QuickRent transporter, you need a valid credit, debit or prepaid card with sufficient funds to cover the rental costs and the reserve amount.

VEHICLES

Are the transporters equipped with straps and other accessories?

No. Accessories such as straps, blankets, children’s car seats, etc., are not provided by QuickRent.

LOST ITEMS

I have found an object in the transporter. What do I have to do?

If you have found a forgotten item in the transporter, you can leave it in the transporter and report it using the corresponding button in the app.

I left an item in the vehicle. What should I do?

When you have finished your rental, you can still open the transporter with the app until the start of the next rental to take out a forgotten item. Simply tap the key button and open the transporter with the open button and then close it again with the close button. If you can no longer open the transporter with the app, please send us an e-mail. We will be happy to help you.

FOREIGN

Can I travel abroad with the transporter?

Yes, use of the QuickRent transporter is permitted in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland. This also applies to the use of the vehicle on islands within these countries (with the exception of the Canary Islands and islands outside Europe that belong to the above-mentioned countries).

Can I become a QuickRent customer with a residence abroad?

No. Renting a QuickRent transporter is only possible if you have your residence in Switzerland.
